I have different sets of vests/jackets/coats for each season. OCD. In Fall and Spring I have thin Tek Gear ones with down filling. When this arrived, It felt just a little bit thinner then those. I also ordered the Dahlia for winter so I was worried. I also have an anxiety disorder. It's for 50-55 degrees no matter the season. I tested it today. It's about the same comfort level as the Tek Gear ones even though it's a little lighter. The omni heat thing works by keeping in body heat. If you are wearing it for a run, I'd imagine it's great!!! It just wasn't what I needed for the every day. Even with a sweater under it in the low 50s. I wasn't cold, it just wasn't as warm as the Tek Gear ones I have. When I wore it for a long walk, it was how it was supposed to be though. Bottom line, it's great if you're going to be doing enough exercise to create body heat!I have regular sized boobs and it fits great. Although, I did order a size up because of the sweater. It's called "bluebell". You'd assume it was blue not purplish. It's the color of the actual flower bluebell. So, for me, the color was as expected. I recommend ordering a size bigger anyway. This vest is exactly what I was hoping for. The fit is just right. I'm usually in between a small and a medium. Since I like to add layers, I sometimes opt for a large in a vest, which can be just too big. But this medium gives room for a flannel or 2 lighter layers. Nice! Good quality so worth the money!Columbia needs to offer XXS. If you are a tall person, this is a truly awesome vest. Very lightweight and very warm. The color is very flattering - compliment-worthy. But for a petite person, it's going to come down about 2 inches lower than what the photo indicates and still be a bit big. I kept it for the color and the functionality, I just wish the fit was better. That being said, watch the price! I bought it for $48. I do not think I would've spent $90 on a vest!Material, workmanship and color are all great. Zippered pockets on the sides and the one inside the vest are also very nice. But if you look at the sizing chart, the Large that I ordered as an example, is listed as 12 and again as 14. There is no way to control which if these two is received. In my case, I must have gotten a size 14 which is too big even with a thick sweater underneath. This kind of broad sizing range is the difference between a trimmer feminine fit and a boxy fit, and is why the mighty lite vest gets a 3 rating from me (see below for why I bumped up the rating from 3 to 4 stars) . I am amending this review and bumping up to 4 stars for this reason: it's warm, lightweight and very comfortable. I still have an issue with the size description versus what is received and would like to see Columbia consider my above comments. It's a little more loose on my waist, the medium but thats only b/c I'm a small there but boobs are a natural 34D. I got a medium in blk but then later ordered the white in small, slightly snug on top but looks good still and can't really tell. I love them both!! It keeps me perfectly warm throughout being outside all day in 50 and 45 degree temps and I even have a long sleeve shirt plus a snug hoodie underneath too. I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect lightweight one for layering plus warmth and THIS IS IT!! Some of the reviews complained about the shiny lining inside but that's part of the thermal reflective to keep warm and you can't see a bit of it on the inside of collar so no clue why people were complaining about interior lining. That's why it's a lighweight, warm, bad mamma Jamma. I would've included a pic but no one to take the pics for a sec. Love these vests!! Thanks Columbia as usual!! You rock!!The Pro's: Very warm and light, not bulky. The Con's: I think the product picture is pretty deceptive. It is not as shaped and fitted as it looks. If you have no boobs or waist this should fit you perfectly. If you have both it will make you look like you have neither. I am tall and thin, 5'8" and 110 lbs, and my measurements are 35" bust, 23" waist, 35" hips. I ordered XS and not only is it too big (except in the chest area where it is a bit too tight if zipped up all the way), but is a lot more shapeless than the picture shows.I did decide to keep it to wear over a hoodie because I am not trying to impress anyone, I just want to be warm.Bottom line, if you are looking for a figure enhancing vest keep looking. If you want lightweight warmth this will do the trick.Amazingly light yet warm - the reflective interior material is modern technology at work! LOVE this vest. I purchased 4 of them in 3 different colors. The vest is fitted in a very flattering style - not too tight but not loose. The picture is very accurate. They are very easy to wash too - I throw them into a cold water wash and dry them in the dryer. I didn't even bother to check the cleaning instructions. They come out like new. The zip pockets zip from the bottom up - like they should...I just hate my jackets with the pocket zipper starting at the top down? Totally unclear on the concept - you want the be able to close the pocket from the bottom and be able to get your hand it at the top. These were so popular that they were sold out almost immediately. I am SO glad I got all the ones I did. Who knows if the company will continue to make them?Love the color and warmth of the vest! I am disappointed about the poor fit for my body type. I am 6' tall and very thin so I figured a small would fit great (didn't have to worry about sleeves being too short :) ). Unfortunately even with a sweatshirt underneath the vest it is still not very flattering for the hourglass shape that most women have (kinda boxy fit instead). I was hoping for a bottom hem that I could cinch with elastic to hug my hips and be a bit more form fitting. Alas, there was no elastic or bungee at the bottom to do adjust the hem. However, for a $90 vest discounted to $55, it was certainly NOT a bad deal! Two words Absolutely Brilliant.I love it!!I've had this vest in a purple and size L for two seasons, but it had become tight through my abdomen so I decided to try a size XL. It fit appropriately where I wanted it to. However, I have slim to no hips so the bottom of the vest flared and the shoulders were too square for my sloped shoulders. So, since I sew a lot, I simply took in the hips from the waist down and sloped the shoulders. Now the vest fits the way it should. So it's everything the description says it will be which is great. Its fits well and is comfortable but the Columbia embroidery is an off white and kinda looks like a knock off because of that. Otherwise it's decent.Love this vest! I have it in two colours and wear it all winter long under my lighter coats to keep warm. It's not too puffy, very slim and won't bulk up your silhouette like some puffy vests do.
